2 of the best new Trader Joe's finds I bought in February.

Every time I visit Trader Joe's, I make a beeline for the new product display. The fan-favorite grocery store offers so many new and innovative products that there's always at least a few new items for me to check out. More often than not, I put a few in my cart, sharing them with my husband and neighbors.

Safe to say, I try. much more of TJ's new items. Some I like but don't end up buying regularly, some I don't care for, and some pricey ones end up on my “buy every time I go” list. These are super special TJ's products that I can't get enough of and can't seem to stock up on at home. These are the products that bring tears to my eyes when Trader Joe's takes them off the shelves, even if it's just for the season.

During my usual rounds in February, a few new items made it onto my must-buy list. Here's hoping TJ keeps them around — try them while you can!

Trader Joe's Piquant Popcorn ($2.99)

I love Popcorn, and TJ's Herb Popcorn is my favorite. I also love nutritional yeast, which adds a magical cheesy flavor to everything it touches. So when I saw this new Piquant Popcorn during a recent visit, I was pumped. So pumped that I bought two bags (only $2.99 each!), quickly devoured them both and restocked before the month was out.

If you're not so sure about nutritional yeast, I urge you to try this popcorn. Everyone I fed it to loved the delicious, slightly cheesy flavor, loved by cheese and non-cheese eaters alike. It's not overly salty and perfectly balanced, with an airy texture. The ingredient list is also nice and short, so you might find it good for kids who are old enough to handle popcorn.

It's definitely not a seasonal item, so here's hoping Trader Joe's keeps it. I'm doing my part to support it by buying stupid amounts of popcorn every time I go.

Trader Joe's Calamansi and Mango Syrup ($3.79)

Calamansi is a citrus fruit from the Philippines. The little fruit has a flavor somewhere between lime and orange, and I love it. They pair perfectly with mango in this new Calamansi and Mango Syrup. With just enough tart, just enough sweet, and a light and refreshing texture, there's no better end to a meal. It is a perfect palate cleanser.

I've mostly enjoyed this syrup as is (I recommend letting it sit on the counter for five to 10 minutes before scooping), but it would be delicious in a float with lemon-lime soda or in Some crunchy coconut granola or toppings. Even a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk.

It looks like TJ's new syrup is limited time, so grab the bright orange pints while you can!
