How to use salmon burgers for any meal.

You can use these burgers to feed the whole family by placing the cooked burgers on toasted buns, whipping up a spicy tartar sauce, and serving a salad or oven fries on the side. Or you can use them like I do. Since my husband is a vegetarian, I can easily make meatless meals and then use a salmon burger to bulk up my portion. Here are some of my favorite ways to serve them:

For breakfast

  • Crush a patty or two and add to a pan of scrambled eggs with a handful of fresh spinach and chopped scallions.
  • Mix the flaked patties with shredded cheese and chopped fresh dill to fill the omelette.

For lunch and dinner

  • Cook a couple of burgers and flake them on top of a simple pasta dish.
  • Make a big salad, and cut up a couple of warm salmon burgers to sprinkle on top.
  • Make a grain bowl bar with a choice of salmon or beans as a protein, along with vegetables and a delicious sauce.
  • Stuff a burger in a panini or pita with lettuce and flavorful sauce.
  • Crumble cooked salmon burgers with mayo for a salad, or puree with cream cheese or sour cream for an easy salmon dip.
  • Top store-bought pizza dough with slices of cooked salmon burgers, veggies and a sprinkle of cheese
